Genesis 41:1-40 “I have some ‘good news’ and some ‘bad news.’ Which do you want first?” I usually want the bad news first, because I want to end with good news. For Joseph, the bad news certainly happened first, when he endured abuse, betrayal, prison and unfair punishment for 11 years! But then, although Joseph experienced freedom and power, becoming the second highest leader in Egypt, the truly good news was that he now began to understand God’s great plan for his life and for the salvation of the people of Israel. Joseph shows us that positive things happen in negative times when we put and keep our eyes on God.
