The world has changed so much these past seven months. Sadly,during these unprecedented Covid-19 times, the need is more, not less, for families in Mexico.
As many of you know, the San Telmo Christian School (El Porvenir) opened its doors ten years ago. With your support, 270 students from first grade to ninth grade receive an education and a better future. We are refurbishing the original elementary school building for a new high school next year. Upon graduation, the students will have the opportunity to attend college (which is free in Mexico). Just imagine how the trajectory of these students and their families will change! Together, they will change the community!
Sadly, because of the pandemic, funding for the school has dropped significantly. Therefore, instead of the originally scheduled mission trip to Tijuana, we will hold a virtual fundraiser on Oct. 10.
This YouTube Live streamed event will feature:
- Musician Alan Eleazar and his trio will play uplifting praise music in English and Spanish.
- Sharings from Field of Grace young missionaries. These dedicated young people have spent six month serving in San Telmo.
- Sharings by a teacher, parents, and students on how their lives have changed because of the San Telmo Christian School.
- Sharings from our partner churches on why they support the San Telmo ministry and how it has impacted their members
- A video presentation of the San Telmo mission history and the San Telmo School
It will be an exciting, heart-warming and uplifting gathering.
